Most Japanese hotels have no official waitlist — there is usually no queue to put your name on. The only way in is to notice the moment a cancellation appears and book before anyone else.
Openings do not last long, and checking by hand around the clock is not realistic. Let AkiWatch watch it for you and tell you the instant it opens.
Just pick your dates. When a cancellation frees a spot, you get an email or a phone notification.
